Summary
Students will take up knowledge from Basic projection I. They will increase
knowledge in the following points:
-work with text
-dimension principles and editing of dimensions
-advanced editing of objects
-connection of data with graphic, external references
-design center
-print setting for exit on printer and stereoplotter
Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit
The student who completes the course should improve his/her knowledge about AutoCAD. The student will use in other seminars the knowledge in drafting of simple project documentation for sewage systems in a specific territory and for small-size water reservoirs.
Course Contents
1. Text style, writing of line and section texts, using the Features window
2. Principles of dimensioning. Dimensioning elements. Dimensioning style – format and appearance of dimensions. Creating and editing of dimensions.
3. Work with curves. Editing of curves. Classification of curves – by curve lengths and curve numbers. Curve filling.
4. Creation of level filters. Filters for selection of objects. Work with groups and number of objects.
5. Acquiring data from drawing. Sharing data with other software applications. Recording of activities.
6. Storing and connecting data with graphics.
7. External references.
8. Using Design Center for administration of drawings.
9. Print settings. Drawing styles. Model space. Layout and drawing area. Scale. Plotter settings.
10. –14. Creation of final drawing documentation.
