Summary
The subject Industrial Logistics II develops logistics and logistics efficiency issues in more detail, optimization and inventory management, capacity calculations, quantitative and time standards, lean manufacturing and information systems for production support and planning. The aspects and procedures applied in logistic decision-making tasks are being exercised. After completing the subject, the students should be able to apply theoretical knowledge to practical situations.
Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit
The subject follows the knowledge of the subject Industrial Logistics I. It is based on the understanding of relations between logistic variables, it focuses on calculations of some logistic indicators, optimization of inventory management, explains principles of modern logistic concepts and directions of logistic integration as well as information systems in logistics.
Course Contents
1. Supply logistics. Supplier selection and work with them, purchasing organization. Packaging.

2. Inventory management optimization. ABC analysis.

3. Customer disconnection point, demand prediction, pull and push systems, logistics mix, postponement.

4. Inventory management in customer disconnection point, determination of the level of supply services, calculation of insurance stock. Prediction of demand.

5. Production logistics. Binding of term and capacity planning, capacity balancing, MRP technology.

6. Capacitive bottlenecks and use of limit theory.

7. Technical Management Standards in Logistics. Quantitative and time standards, time studies.

8. JIT philosophy and lean manufacturing systems

9. Information systems to support planning and production control.

10. The nature and importance and types of identification systems in logistics. Navigation and localization systems.

11. Conditions of economic behavior in the global environment. Types of traffic, optimal use of transport capacity.

12. Reverse logistics, city logistics. Delivery terms, INCOTERMS business clauses.

13. Risk management in logistics.

14. Ecological, social and legal aspects of logistics.
