Summary
Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit
Objectives: To learn the basics of a mined underground small lateral dimensions (run-
would drift) with a focus on using conventional excavation by drilling and
blasting. The design of the basic parameters of the technological process
blasting design and dimensions of reinforcement works, the machinery equipment of the face and setting times of each technological cycle of tunneling operations.
Course Contents
Lectures:
1st Definition of course, the basic parameters of the underground workings. Main operations
excavation cycle.
2nd Excavation rock by blasting, blasting equipment technology.
3rd Theory of disintegration of rock explosion. Firing charges. Basic data on blasting
work.
4th Cuts, the technology of blasting in underground structures.
5th Blasting work for mining. Harmful effects of the explosion. Methods of contour blasting
work.
6th Drilling and drilling hand cars and kits during the excavation of underground workings.
7th Muck hauling equipment. Removal of the sinking funds.
8th Removal of rock excavation in various systems, Removal of rocks during excavation.
9th Support construction of underground works. Reinforcement frame, surface, bolts and
combined.
10th Technology reinforcing frame and surface reinforcement.
11th Organization of work during the excavation and dredging. Using computer technology to
design and management of stamping.
12th Basic stamping spacious mining works and underground engineering.
13th Overview of continuous excavation and dredging methods.
14th Systematic methods of shaft sinking. Technology of digging the pits.

Exercise:
1st Assignment and termination 1 Program - chemistry of explosives.
2nd Entering the second Program - Passport blasting for excavation of the line underground
work.
3 to 6 2nd Processing program.
7th Screening of professional and educational films.
8th Entering the third program - Technological process of excavation of the underground work of a small
section (the gallery, collector, crosscut, etc.).
9 to 14 Processing third program.

2nd Passport blasting for excavation work of the line underground.
3rd Technological process of underground excavation works, including a small section. dimension
with welded construction, with the design parameters of blasting, and mechanical design
equipment, material times, the determination of technological times the main and auxiliary
tunneling operations in the cycle, timetable stamping.
