Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit |
---|
The object provides view of problems toxic matters attack on organisms and flora generally. |
Course Contents |
---|
1. Basic resources of the biosphere, their relationship and the importance of ecology flora and fauna the aquatic environment. History, development, concepts, definitions and divisions of Toxicology, the application.
2. The effects of toxic substances on organisms and flora in general, specific and potential effects related to requirements for water quality according to the methods of water use.
3. Toxicity of various organic and inorganic substances and compounds,
Toxicity of heavy metals and radioactive substances, nitrogen compounds, chlorinated hydrocarbons, acids chlorophenoxyacetic, organophosphates, carbonates, pesticides and detergents.
4. Toxicity of treatment, industrial and agricultural - from pulp and paper mills, textile dyes, industrial auxiliary agents, ap. Toxic metabolites produced microorganisms, bacterial toxins, mycotoxins.
5. Factors affecting toxicity (properties of water, the sensitivity of organisms present incidence of various substances, etc.) and biodegradability tests of biodegradability, standards.
6. - 7. Determination of toxicity - the main toxicological values, methods and procedures establish principles and implementation, the choice of methods and test organisms.
8. - 9. Biological methods for assessment of the potential effects of pollutants, the use of an application of test results - hydrotoxicity assessment methods, risk, effectiveness of treatment technology and water treatment, the risk of wastewater extracts.
10. - 11. Bioindication features fish, freshwater fish contaminants load
(presence of heavy metals in fish muscle, histological - pathological changes, etc.), changes in the composition of fish communities in emergency and permanent changes quality water, the correlation between the health status of fish and toxicity.
12. Evaluation experiments (orthogonal polynomials, use of experimental comparing the results of different tests, quality assessment water by toxicity tests (risk treatment efficiency), the relationship of toxicity tests and chemical analysis.
13. Information hydrotoxicology systems and their applications, model situations and their solutions. Current status of surface flows in terms of toxicity.
14. - 15. New trends, practices and trends - enzymatic methods, etc.
Exercise:
