The instruction focuses on further enriching the terminology necessary both for the communication in everyday situations and at work. The activities leading to meeting the set goal include speaking, reading, listening and comprehension and writing.The topics of study are: profession, education, health and disease, hotels and accommodation. |
Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit |

The subject links to secondary school Russian. It enlarges vocabulary, deepens knowledge of grammar structures necessary for intermediate oral and written communication as well as active use in everyday situations. Reaching A2-B1 level according to the European Reference Framework for Languages. |
Course Contents |

Učebnice současné ruštiny. Units 11-13.
1. All professions are important, all professions are needed. (Все профессии важны, все профессии нужны.) Declension of the plural neuter gender nouns.
2. To be a janitor or a programmer? (Кем быть дворником или программистом?) The noun stem ending in ж, ш, ч, щ, ц. Presentation “Comparison of educational systems in the Russian Federation and the Czech Republic” (Учебные заведения и система образования в России.). Conjugation of the verbs ending in -овать/- евать.
3. Phrases интересоваться кем, чем аnd пользоваться чем. Conjugation of the verbs дать/давать. Declension of pronouns in the plural. The Tretyakov Gallery in Moscow (Третьяковская галерея в Москве). Conditional.
4. Be well! (Будьте здоровы!) Conjugation of the verb принять. Declension of nouns in the plural (types санаторий, линия).
5. How to fight a cold. (Как бороться с простудой.) Conjugation of the пить type verbs. Structure не тот, не та, не то, не те.
6. Treatment tours. (Лечебные туры.) Names of diseases. Conjugation of the verb писать. Using the verbs стоять аnd стоить.
7. Declension of the cardinal numerals 1-100. Declension of the numerals оба/обе. Conjugation of the verbs любить аnd купить. What time is it?
8. A bit about hotel rooms. (Немного о гостиничных номерах.) Conjugation of the verbs нести, вести, везти.
9. About five-star hotels, cockroach neighbours and Swedish breakfasts (Про пятизвездочные отели, соседей-тараканов и шведские завтраки). The imperative, the imperative of reflexive verbs.
10. Hotel (Гостиница) «Октябрьская». Declension of the numerals сколько аnd много. Movement verbs.
11. Working with unknown text. Structure Смотри не упади! Do you know what date it is today?
