Summary
The course focuses on a holistic view of the application of information technology in a company or institution. The emphasis is on the aspects of corporate IT management and the meaningful use of IT resources for the needs of business (IT alignment). Attention is also paid to the field of IT services and their integration into the management of the organization.
Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit
In the course the students will be acquainted with the essence of globally accepted methodologies in informatics management. The student acquires knowledge of the use of the concept of IT services and can apply the principles of IT governance.
The student can analyze the situation in the organization and propose a solution based on the recommendations of the discussed frameworks.

1. Introduction to enterprise informatics management and IT resources in an organization.
2. Classification of IS types and their use in organization. IT strategy - role, content and relationship to other strategies in the organization.
3. Business Analytics - Content, roles and usage in organization management. BABOK Framework.
4. IT Governance and its role in corporate IT management.
5. Introduction to the principles and use of the COBIT framework.
6. COBIT implementation.
7. IT services management. IT services management context.
8. Introduction to the ITIL framework.
9. Core ITIL processes.
10. Enterprise Architecture and role in Business informatics.
11. Introductory to the TOGAF framework.
12. Alternative approaches.
