Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit
Student bude seznámen se základními nástroji pro podporu rozhodování z oblasti výrobní, distribuční a zásobovací logistiky, které nacházejí široké uplatnění v praktických oblastech.
Studen bude schopen:
- analyzovat, formulovat a řešit vybrané úlohy na reálných datech,
- realizovat řešení úloh ve výpočetním prostředí MS Excel,
- realizovat řešení úloh v profesionálním optimalizačním nástroji Xpress-Ive.

1. The importance of logistic methods as a decision support tool.
1.1 The initial insight into the problem:
- definition of logistic,
- the importance of logistic methods in practice.
1.2 Methods used in logistic:
- Distribution of methods:
- - exact: statistical, operational analysis method, simulation, prognostic.
- - heuristic: expert systems, methods of creative thinking.
1.3 Theoretical description of each method with reference to the future application in practice.
2. Application of logistic methods in purchase, supply and storage.
2.1 The importance of purchase, supply and storage.
2.2 Selection of suppliers and their evaluation:
- ABC analysis,
- multi-criteria decision analysis.
2.3 Inventory management.
2.4 Inventory management models:
- static models of inventory theory,
- dynamic model of inventory theory.
2.5 Optimization in terms of purchasing, supply and storage:
- optimal location of warehouse,
- optimal use of the loading area.
3. Application of logistic methods in the transport sector.
3.1 Traffic and transportation.
3.2 Formulation of transport tasks:
- transport tasks with an excess capacity,
- transport tasks with an excess of requirements,
- transport tasks with containers.
3.3 Trace tasks:
- tasks focused on an operation of vertex,
- tasks focused on an operation of edge.
3.4 Mathematical models of transport tasks.
4. Application of logistic methods in distribution.
