Summary
The course acquaints students with holistic concepts for IT management. Emphasis is placed on business and information technology alignment. Two areas are dominantly discussed: Enterprise architecture and Governance of IT. The frameworks used in practice include TOGAF and Cobit. Other frameworks and methodologies applied in the management are also presented.
Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1. Management of business informatics, basic principles, importance of holistic approach, management levels.
2. Enterprise architecture and its essence, purpose and context with informatics management.
3. Layered architecture, multidimensionality.
4. Architectural framework - TOGAF.
5. Architectural framework - Zachman.
6. IT governance - Governance of IT - definitions, principles and roles in organization management.
7. Cobit framework - framework concept.
8. Cobit framework processes.
9. Cobit framework implementation.
