Summary
Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit
Student bude seznámen se základními nástroji pro podporu rozhodování z oblasti výrobní, distribuční a zásobovací logistiky, které nacházejí široké uplatnění v praktických oblastech.
Studen bude schopen:
- analyzovat, formulovat a řešit vybrané úlohy na reálných datech,
- realizovat řešení úloh ve výpočetním prostředí MS Excel,
- realizovat řešení úloh v profesionálním optimalizačním nástroji Xpress-Ive.
Course Contents
1. Origin and importance of logistics. Division of logistics. Methods used in logistics.
2. Graph theory and linear programming, introduction, basic terms, optimization tool Xpress-IVE, MS Excel - Solver.
3. Transport and distribution logistics, introduction, basic terms, transport network and its model, calculation of shortest paths and distance matrices.
4. Transport task and its variants, classical transport task, multi-commodity transport task, transport task with losses, multiple transport task, transport task with intermediate storage.
5. TSP problems, Euler paths.
6. Distribution systems, introduction, basic terms, location-allocation problems.
7. Decomposition - covering tasks, (p-median, p-center).
8. Supply logistics, introduction, basic terms, characteristics of supply tasks.
9. Basic models of inventory management. Schedule of deliveries.
10. Multi-criteria decision-making, introduction to the problem, basic terms, calculation of criteria weights, selection of the optimal variant.
11. Queueing theory - introduction, basic terms, systems with rejection, with infinite, with limited queue length.
12. Manufacturing logistics, introduction, basic concepts, schedule theory, network planning methods.
