Outline of the course (subject to change):
- Presentation Skills
- Apply the presentation criteria for the preparation and delivery of a presentation related to study abroad topics
- Demonstrate the skill of responding appropriately to discussion questions posed after a presentation; speak spontaneously and comprehensibly in the context of the class (e.g. discussions, expressing one's own ideas, paraphrasing and summarizing others' ideas, including those that are in person, recordings and texts).
- Cultural Differences
- Compare, contrast and evaluate different cultures
- Apply the presentation criteria for the preparation and delivery of a presentation related to cultural differences
- Pros and cons of cultural shock
