Erasmus+: International Credit Mobility introduced in 2015 has brought the opportunity to support mobility for students and staff of higher education institutions with partners located outside the European continent within the Erasmus+ program. However, in order for the university to access this generous grant, it is essential to prepare a project proposal that demonstrates significant formal and substantive qualities. Currently, VSB-TUO collaborates with 17 institutions across the world.

At present, VSB-TUO is initiating the preparation of a new project proposal for the 2024 call. Everyone can get involved in the preparation. All that's needed is a foreign partner who would be a suitable candidate for collaboration within this program, and then approach the relevant Vice-Dean for Foreign Affairs to discuss the matter. For more information, you can also contact the University International Office, represented by Jakub Němec (jakub.nemec@vsb.cz). The deadline for submitting candidates for cooperation has been set for October 31, 2023.

The total number of new partners for the university in the new application is set at 15, and each faculty can apply for 2-3 collaborations. Within the region allocated in the project, the university can be assigned a maximum of two collaborations. The decision on which collaborations will be applied for will be made in two rounds - first, the Vice-Dean for Foreign Affairs will make the selection at the faculty level, and then a further selection will be conducted at the university's rectorate level. In the selection process, consideration will be given to previous applications (in case of non-support in the previous year), the current collaboration with the partner, faculty focus on one region, the partner's personal involvement, and the successful implementation of ongoing projects.
