Course Content:
• Basics of stroke technique: The course begins with a focus on proper racket grip and basic player positioning. This is followed by the practice of various types of strokes, including basic serves, forehand and backhand strokes, smashes, lobs, and drops. Students will not only learn the correct technique but also the timing and precision of strokes.
• Game drills: Besides individual techniques, students will participate in various game drills aimed at improving coordination, speed, and reflexes. These drills include both offensive and defensive strategies, including court movement training and body positioning during play.
• Game tactics: An important part of the course is understanding the basic tactical aspects of badminton. Students will learn to distinguish between offensive and defensive playing styles and how to apply them based on the situation on the court. Emphasis is placed on strategic planning and anticipating the opponent’s movements.
• Rules of the game and officiating: Familiarity with the official rules of badminton is an essential part of the course. Students will learn how to make correct decisions during the game, handle disputed situations, and interpret the rules in practice.
• Tournaments and matches: A significant part of the badminton lessons involves actual play in the form of individual matches or tournaments throughout the semester. Playing in matches or tournaments best prepares students to apply their acquired skills in practice.
The goal of the course is to improve students' physical fitness, coordination, and technical skills, as well as their tactical thinking and teamwork ability in doubles. Badminton is not only an excellent way to enhance physical fitness but also a fun game that fosters competitiveness and team spirit.
