The seminar, organised by the project teams of REFRESH, MATUR, MEET and Cirk Arena, will take place from 24th to 26th August 2026 at the University Auditorium (UA 178), VSB – Technical University of Ostrava.
The event will bridge the latest scientific insights with technological innovations and practical industrial experience. The programme will feature lectures and expert discussions focusing on advanced energy storage technologies, new materials and photovoltaics, hydrogen technologies, next-generation nuclear energy, waste heat utilisation, artificial intelligence in the energy sector, carbon technologies, and the future transformation of energy systems.
The seminar will feature leading international experts from universities and research institutions, including:

The programme will also include practical workshops held in the laboratories of the CPIT-TL1 building at VSB-TUO:
- Polymer composites for energy-related applications
- Fatigue of materials
- Battery components, cell assembly, and electrochemical testing
- Spectroscopic ellipsometry characterization of nanomaterials and thin films
- Optics in practice: advanced sensors and security applications
