Science is art. And art is sometimes beautiful science. We invite you to the Art & Science festival, which we have been organizing since 2015. Come and discover that university is not only about studying, but also about creativity, music and new experiences. Discover with us the fascinating world where science meets art!

What’s in store?

The Backwards | Getaway | VSB-TUO Orchestra

  • Science Live

Interactive demonstrations, experiments, technical workshops, and hands-on activities led by our scientists, students, and researchers — with participation from all faculties and research centers.

  • For Schools and the Public

The morning part of the program (9 am - 1 pm) is intended primarily for elementary and secondary school students.
The afternoon program (2 pm - 9 pm) is dedicated to the general public, as well as students, employees and graduates of the university.

About the Festival

Art & Science is VSB – Technical University of Ostrava’s annual festival that shines a spotlight on the creative side of science. More than just a hub of education and research, the university becomes a place where knowledge meets imagination — blending scientific exploration with artistic expression in a truly unique way.
