Innovation Technology Developer - Backend Services Developer

We are extending our team with two new positions to drive development of complex distributed services focused on easy access to compute workflows and distributed data management across HPC clusters, Quantum and Cloud environments. These positions are focused on backend developers working with modern services REST APIs developed mainly in C#, databases and object storages. Experience with design and operation of scalable and distributed services is an advantage.

IT4Innovations National Supercomputing Center is a leading research, development, and innovation centre active in the fields of High-Performance Computing (HPC), Data Analytics (HPDA), Artificial Intelligence (AI), and Quantum Computing (QC) and their applications. We have strong international links and employ more than 230 scientific, technical, and administrative staff. At present, IT4Innovations is running two supercomputers: Karolina (15.7 PFlop/s, installed in the summer of 2021), Barbora (849 TFlop/s, installed in the autumn of 2019), and is a member of the consortium operating LUMI, one of Europe's most powerful supercomputers. Job Description

• development of software features of an on-line services focused on workflow and data management,
• participation on feature design decisions and roadmap definition,
• communication with researchers and development team,
• analaysis of new requirements and feature defition.

Type of Employment
Fixed-term contract with the possibility of extension

Full-Time Equivalent
Part-time (0.5 - 1.0), as agreed

We Require

• proven experience with backend development in C#,
• basic knowledge of networks and common data transfer protocols,
• experience with software development management,
• experience with Linux in a server environment,
• good communication skills in the English language both spoken and written,
• bachelor's degree in related field.

• experience with cloud environments.
