- The candidate is expected to have strong expertise
in advanced signal processing methods, optimization of artificial intelligence
methods, condition monitoring, and vibration analysis.
- The candidate should demonstrate experience in
development and optimization of AI-driven approaches for industrial
diagnostics, predictive maintenance and intelligent monitoring systems.
- Experience with advanced analytical techniques and interdisciplinary
applications combining signal processing and artificial intelligence methods is
highly desirable.

Job Description
- The primary scope of work consists of scientific and research activities focused on signal processing, vibration and acoustic analysis, machine learning, condition monitoring, optimization methods, and fault detection for this candidate.
- Responsible for implementing the research programme in the live laboratory, transferring experience to other members of the research team, conducting independent research, and managing their own research team or the work of other scientists (senior researchers, junior researchers, etc.); seeking opportunities for collaboration with partner institutions; and participating in the preparation of projects funded by international sources.

- Preparation and publication of scientific articles in high-quality (Q1) journals,
- Preparation and submission of project proposals, particularly within the Horizon Europe programme,
- Preparation and submission of an ERC grant application with implementation/application at the FEI,
- Active involvement in the establishment and development of research teams within Signal Lab, Mobility Lab, and AIM Lab,
- Development of new research infrastructure within TL4

- Demonstrable expertise in advanced signal processing methods, optimization of artificial intelligence methods, condition monitoring and vibration analysis.
- Excellent publication activity, H-index min. 20, min. 70 publications in high-impact journals or verifiable 1,500 citations.
- Ability to work independently, experience in managing large international teams, demonstrable involvement in solving international projects, long-term international cooperation, 3 acquired projects in last 10 years.
- Prerequisites for further scientific work (ability to work independently and to publish outputs in high-impact journals).
- Active knowledge of the English language.
