for the project “REFRESH – Researcher Excellence For Region Sustainability and High-tech Industries,“ registration number CZ.10.03.01/00/22_003/0000048, research program 3 - COMMUNICATIONS TECHNOLOGIES

Required Expertise:

Excellence demonstrated by outstanding scientific results and internationally recognized contributions in photonics and optics, particularly in Fibre Bragg gratings, optical and fibre-optic sensors, optical waveguides, fibre lasers, and advanced optical systems.

Strong expertise is expected in the design, modelling, characterization, and application of photonic components and systems, including FBG structures, optical sensing platforms, waveguide devices, fibre-laser systems, and optical signal generation, propagation, processing, and detection.

Job Description

Responsible for the implementation of the research program „COMMUNICATIONS TECHNOLOGY“ in a live laboratory, transferring experience to other members of the research team.
Conducts independent research and manages his/her own research team or the work of other researchers (senior researcher, junior researcher, and others).
Seeking opportunities for collaboration in the scientific community.
Participates in the preparation of other projects from national and international sources.

We Require

Foreign/Excellence/Key Researcher with outstanding scientific results in the field on an international scale with a high contribution to the research areas of photonics and optics, particularly in Fibre Bragg gratings, optical and fibre-optic sensors, optical waveguides, fibre lasers, and advanced optical systems.
Excellent publication activity, H-index min. 20, min. 70 publications in high-impact journals or verifiable 1,500 citations.
Ability to work independently, and actively participate in R&D projects, experience in managing large international teams, demonstrable involvement in solving international projects, long-term international cooperation, 3 acquired projects in last 10 years.
Prerequisites for further scientific work (ability to work independently and to publish outputs in high-impact journals).
Active knowledge of the English language.
