Job Description
  • Laboratory Specialist in Phase Change Materials (PCMs) and Heat Transfer Fluids (HTFs).
  • Design and synthesis of novel phase change materials (PCMs) and heat transfer fluids (HTFs), including their characterization using thermal analysis (TA) techniques.
  • Collaboration in the preparation of research reports, presentations, and project proposals funded by national and international funding programmes.
  • Conducting independent research while collaborating with other members of the research team.
  • Publishing research results in peer-reviewed journals and presenting them at international conferences.
  • Collection, processing, and interpretation of experimental data.
  • Participation in research activities within the respective Living Lab and collaboration on research conducted in other Living Labs.
  • Building and maintaining collaborations with partner institutions.

We Require
  • Ph.D. degree in Materials Chemistry, Materials Science, or a related field.
  • Proficiency in English at CEFR level C1.
  • Extensive hands-on experience and expertise in thermal analysis and calorimetry techniques, including DTA, DSC, TG, and dilatometry, as well as their simultaneous variants (TG/DTA and TG/DSC) and coupled techniques involving MS and/or GC/MS.
  • Experience with thermal conductivity measurements and the evaluation of kinetic data obtained from thermoanalytical techniques (TG, DTA, DSC, and dilatometry).
  • Proficiency in relevant software tools for data analysis and visualization.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, with a strong publication record in high-impact peer-reviewed journals in the fields of Materials Chemistry, Energy, Materials Science, or related disciplines.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary research team.
  • Excellent organisational skills with a strong attention to detail.
