Leading expert in the field of metal-organic frameworks and their applications, particularly in electrocatalysis and photocatalysis, Professor Tapas Kumar Maji from the Jawaharlal Nehru Centre for Advanced Scientific Research (JNCASR) in Bangalore, India, visited the Materials-Envi Lab (MEL) at the Centre for Energy and Environmental Technologies of VSB – Technical University of Ostrava. During his visit, he and local researchers agreed to collaborate in a number of research areas.

In the overall number of awards, the university ranked second, behind the Czech Technical University in Prague and Charles University.
