Guest of the FEECS Journal Club was scientist Seyedali Mirjalili
At the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science, we were honoured to welcome Prof. Seyedali Mirjalili from Torrens University Australia, one of the most cited researchers in the field of Artificial Intelligence and Optimization.
He gave a lecture at the FEI Journal Club on the topic:
"Agile Workflows and Generative AI in a New Era of Autonomous Optimization".
Prof. Mirjalili emphasized the importance of simplifying the problem space, introduced new approaches using generative AI and AI agents, and opened a discussion on the ethical and philosophical aspects of autonomous optimization.
