Last month five university academics received the highest pedagogical position, the title of full Professor. The ceremony took place at the Velká Aula of the Charles University in Prague. We would like to introduce you bright new professors.
doc. RNDr. Dana Šalounová, Ph.D.
Dana Šalounová lectures at the Department of Mathematical methods in Economics at the Faculty of Economics. Her focus is the theory of algebra’s logics and application of statistical methods in medical science and economics. She is also an author of many specialized articles and publications.
doc. Ing. et Ing. Luboš Komárek, Ph.D., MSc, MBA
Luboš Komárek works at the Department of National Economy at the Faculty of Economics and in the Czech National Bank. He was also a member of European Central Bank where he was a frequent participant in international stays and internships, for example at International Monetary Fund, the Federal Reserve in New York City and in Central Bank of Chile. He is an author of many specialized articles and publications and also part of the editorial board of the magazine Finance and Loan Czech Journal of Economics and Finance
doc. Ing. Martin Macháček, Ph.D.
Martin Macháček is a member of the Department of Economics at the Faculty of Economics. He was head of Social Sciences and Humanities Division of the Czech Science Foundation. He is a member of Czech Economic Society. He participated in international trips in Great Britain, Denmark and Finland. He is highly involved in internationalization of the Faculty of Economics.
doc. Dr. Ing. René Pyszko
René Pyszko is from the Department of Thermal Engineering at the Faculty of Metallurgy and Materials Engineering. His focus is theoretical and experimental research of thermal processes and energetic economy. His articles are published in prestigious international magazines. Thanks to his activities the University has developed connections to the steel industries in companies such as Arcellor Mittal or Třinecké železárny.
doc. RNDr. Marie Duží, CSc.
Marie Duží lectures at the Department of Computer Science at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science. She lectures on the theory of formal systems and Mathematical logic. She is also an author of many specialized articles and publications and solver of projects about logics, e-learning and artificial intelligence.
