Erasmus+: International Credit Mobility introduced in 2015 expanded the Erasmus+ program to support student and staff mobility between European universities and institutions outside of Europe. However, in order for a university to access this generous grant, it is necessary to prepare a project proposal that demonstrates significant formal and substantive qualities. The application itself should provide the most concrete form of collaboration, including the precise number and type of planned mobilities. If the application is approved, both students and university staff can embark on exchanges to the selected institution.

Most recently, VSB-TUO successfully participated in the 2023 call, submitting a total of 15 cooperation proposals, out of which 12 were approved. This translates to the university securing a funding amount of EUR 483,065 for 167 mobilities over the next 36 months. Collaborations for the following three academic years were supported with the following institutions: Baku Higher Oil School (Azerbaijan), Dalhousie University (Canada), Dnipro Technological University (Ukraine), Georgian Technical University (Georgia), Kazakh-British Technical University (Kazakhstan), Kolegji Biznesi (Kosovo), Sharjah University (United Arab Emirates), Tel Aviv University (Israel), Universidad Iberoamericana (Dominican Republic), University of Addis Abbaba (Ethiopia), University of Cape Coast (Ghana), and University of Sousse (Tunisia). Preparations for the initial visits to partner universities are currently underway.

Simultaneously, we are already preparing a new project proposal for the Call 2024, in which almost anyone can participate. It is sufficient to have a foreign partner who would be a suitable candidate for collaboration within this program, and then to approach the relevant Vice-Dean for International or Study Affairs to discuss the matter. You can also obtain information from the University International Office. The deadline for submitting candidates for cooperation has been set for October 31, 2023.
