Summary
The course will cover issues of spatial planning, territorial decision-making and building regulations. In the part on spatial planning, attention will be focused on land-use planning documentation and documentation, territorial management, territorial systems of ecological stability and principles of protection zones and protection of specially protected areas. Part of building regulations will explain building permit and use. At the same time, state construction supervision, the institution of expropriation, construction authorities and the building law and related legislation will be discussed.
Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit
Objective of the course in terms of learning outcomes and competences The aim of the course is to acquaint students with the basics of spatial planning documentation, spatial planning authorities and other related problems.
Course Contents
syllabus of lectures:

1. Introduction to the Problem, Explanation of Basic Concepts, Complete History, Legislation of the Czech Republic
2. Urbanism as one of the tools of spatial planning
3. Targets and tasks of spatial planning, land-use planning documents, Territorial Development Policy of the Czech Republic, Territorial Use Limits
4. Types of land-use planning documentation - their purpose
5. Territorial planning documentation - procurement, approval and liability
6. Territorial Decisions and Measures, Building Management, Expropriation
7. Application of general technical requirements of territorial character for construction (types of constructions, barrier-free structures, their placement, influence on the environment)
8. Spatial layout of technical management networks, representation in land-use planning documentation
9. Protection of the Free Landscape, Agricultural Soil Fund, Forests, Territorial System of Environmental Stability
10. Protective zones and protected areas (types of protection in total, protection zones of mineral deposits, natural resources and spa, water resources and water structures, transport structures, airports, utility networks, construction industry and agriculture)
11. Protection of particularly valuable areas - protection of immovable cultural monuments, monumentally protected areas, protection of nature and landscape
12. Developmental tendencies in spatial planning, strategic plans of the exercise curriculum

syllabus of pratcical lessons:
1. Getting acquainted with map data for spatial planning purposes, discussion of concepts in spatial planning
2. Used signs in the graphic part of the spatial plans, film - urban structure of important Czech cities
3. Examples of land-use planning documents and documentation-part graphical and text-discussion
4. Submission of seminar paper 1: to find out the basic data about the state of complete and condition of the territory in the place of residence, describe the individual components
5. Seminar work no. 1, consultations
6. Design of the area by family houses
7. Design of housing development by housing
8. Completion of proposals, consultation
9. Submission of seminar paper no.2: design of the area by residential construction including transport and technical infrastructure design, observance of limits in the territory
10. Written work of listeners - protection zones for water sources, for transport, engineering networks, protection of specially protected areas
11. Correction of written tests-repetition
12. Completion of the seminar work no. 2 - consultation, surrender
