Summary
Subject features students in a transparent way into problems of materials forming. Explains fundamental terms and context, characterizes most considerable forming technologies. Forms background for easier understanding and successful lesson of consecutive subjects of field of study.
Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit
Studen will be able to:
Delimitate forming technology in face of competing shaping technologies
Discuss meaning and perspective of steel
Express thermomechanical quantities in forming processes
Describe forming technologies (rolling, forging, wire drawing, extrusion)
Solve fundamental exercises of technological practice
Explain fundamental processes of microstructure evolution during hot and cold forming
Apply fundamental laws of plastic deformation
