Summary
In the frame of study student obtain deeper and more detailed knowledges in
the field: Characteristic of surface of mechanical materials, physics of
phase boundaries, optical properties of surfaces, treatment of surface before
application of protective coatings, special methods of application coatings in
vacuum, special coatings, thermal spray application, implantation, using of
laser, ionic nitration, organic coatings, vitreous and vitreous enamel coats,
biomaterials, nanostructured materials in surface finishes, verification /
inspection / of surface finish and treatment systems. ISO 12 944.
Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit
Obtaining of knowledges about anticorrosive prevention of materials.
Course Contents
Lecture:
1. Surface properties of material, rust material, corrosion prevention.
2. Surface adjustment foundation material, mechanical before application coatings.
3. Surface adjustment foundation material, chemical before application coatings.
4. Oxidizing processes, technology of phosphate layer.
5. Electrochemical surface adjustment - philosophy of electrolytic
secretion metals.
6. Chemical de - energized metal plating.
7. Galvanic metal plating.
8. Heat surface adjustment.
9. Vacual metal plating, heat - chemical adjustment surface.
10. Thermic spray metals and non-metals.
11. Organic coatings and their characteristics.
12. Technology of spreading organic coatings.
13. Glassy coatings and their characteristics.
14. Technology of spreading glassy coatings.

1. Evaluation of qualities surface.
2. Evaluation of qualities surface.
3. Surface adjustment mechanical - shot blasting.
4. Surface adjustment chemical - degreasing, setting programme No. 1 - assesment
of cleanness surface steel material with degreasing.

8. Surface adjustment chemical pickling, setting programme No. 2 - assesment
of pickling steel materials.
9. Electrochemical secretion of coatings. Setting programme No. 3 - evaluation
of qualities galvanic coating.

programme No. 4 - evaluation of adhesion organic coatings.
11. Evaluation of adhesion organic coatings.
12. Surface adjustment glassy coatings.
