Extraordinary admission procedure for VSB-TUO

On 21 March 2022, measures in the field of education in connection with the armed conflict in Ukraine were published in the Collection of Laws, on the basis of which VSB-TUO is launching an extraordinary admission procedure for Ukrainian students. They can apply to:

  • Study at VSB-TUO: Students will be accepted until the current academic year 2021/2022, on the basis of the admission procedure, which is announced from 1 to 15 April 2022. The date of registration is set for 20 April. Until the academic year 2022/2023, the admission procedure is currently launched and it is possible to participate according to the previously announced dates.

ICP is able to help e.g. with providing a psychologist or a coach. ICP employees accompany foreign students and employees to meetings at the offices (e.g. Foreign Police, meetings at banks, doctor's visits), and other places where interpretation is needed. ICP can be contacted during office hours in person, by phone or at any time by e-mail. ICP has the function of a university Welcome Centre and is prepared to provide these services for a long time.

In this Rector's Order you will find the conditions for the payment of a new scholarship, which is intended from April 2022 for foreign students who have fallen into financial distress due to the armed conflict in Ukraine. The scholarship is intended for foreign students of a bachelor's or subsequent master's study program at VSB-TUO. The scholarship is awarded at the request of the applicant and after meeting the conditions for the award of the scholarship, it is awarded once, for the months of April, May and June 2022. The application must be submitted for each scholarship period (month) separately.

Students affected by the conflict in Ukraine can also apply for emergency immediate assistance from the Labor Office

I want to contribute financially or materially

In the Czech Republic, humanitarian aid has been launched for the citizens of Ukraine, which is organized by a number of respected and experienced organizations, some of which are listed below. At VSB-TUO, there is an initiative aimed directly at meeting the needs of refugees who are accommodated in our dormitories. Helping to Ukraine via Czech Red Cross:

The Czech Red Cross is also responding to the current developments in Ukraine and is in constant contact with the Ukrainian Red Cross. With the support of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic, it is providing medical supplies for the mobile Red Cross teams in Ukraine and is also preparing other medical supplies or vehicles. The Czech Red Cross is also collecting funds to help Ukraine.

Accommodation for people affected by the conflict

If you are looking for accommodation, contact the Center for the Support of Integration of Foreigners (website in UA). At the university dormitories, we are currently at almost exhausted accommodation capacity. If this changes, the information will be updated here on the website.
