On Thursday, 19 March, VSB – Technical University of Ostrava welcomed the Chargé d'affaires of the Republic of Poland in the Czech Republic, Ms Barbara Tuge-Erecińska. The meeting focused on Czech-Polish cooperation, particularly in the areas of education, science, and research.
During the meeting, the university’s activities in both the Czech Republic and abroad were presented. Ms Tuge-Erecińska especially appreciated the breadth of VSB-TUO’s scientific and research activities and expressed her recognition of the university’s future direction and development.
The meeting also confirmed that there is a strong foundation for cooperation between VSB-TUO and Polish institutions. One of the concrete outcomes was an offer of cooperation in further developing the university’s activities in Poland.
The visit thus highlighted the importance of cross-border collaboration and opened up further opportunities to strengthen mutual ties.
