As part of the Fire Protection 2026 conference, we welcomed representatives of the British company RiVR to the Simulation Technologies Centre. RiVR is a member of the international LearnPro Group, which specialises in education and training in the field of safety and security.
During the visit, RiVR representatives introduced their virtual reality system, which can be used not only for firefighter training but also for the education and training of criminal investigators and occupational health and safety professionals. Through practical demonstrations, the staff of the Simulation Technologies Centre learned about the possibilities of incorporating so-called passive virtual reality into education and training.
Active virtual reality was also an important part of the visit. RiVR presented its RiVR Fire Investigation product, designed, among other applications, for training in the field of fire cause investigation. The practical demonstrations and subsequent professional discussion proved valuable to both sides and provided an opportunity to exchange experience and expertise.
In return, representatives of RiVR and LearnPro Group had the opportunity to learn how we use simulation technologies in safety and security education. We greatly appreciated their positive assessment of our facilities and their recognition of the Simulation Technologies Centre as one of the notable centres for safety and security education not only in the Czech Republic, but also in the wider Central European region.
