Study branch Geoinformatics

About study programme

This study branch is ideal for students who would like to get knowledge about work with spatial data. Students will learn details about a group of geoinformation technologies (i.e. global navigation satellite systems, digital terrain models, remote sensing), standard information technologies with relation to space (i.e. database systems, programming of web applications, object-oriented technologies) and analytical methods (i.e. quantitative methods in geography, data processing in GIS). The study branch is designed to provide students with the opportunity to continue studying in a follow-up study or to find a job in a company/institution working with spatial data.
