Parking

Entrance to the Poruba campus is only possible from the street Dr. Slabihoudka (gate no. 1 from The University Hospital Ostrava, Fakultní nemocnice Ostrava). The visitor pick up a parking ticket from the parking gate at the entrance. You can park in any marked parking place. Before leaving the campus, the visitor pays the parking fee at the payment machine, which is located at the exit from the area (payment only by card or QR code), see map.

• First 45 minutes of parking: free
• Every other 30 minutes charged: CZK 20
• Loss of a parking ticket: CZK 500

Student and staff parking:

Entrance to the Poruba campus is possible through any entrance from the street Dr. Slabihoudka or Studentská Street, after presenting the employee/student card to the sensor of the barrier system.

• Employee parking: free
• Parking for students of the 1st year of the B.Sc. studies: only under conditions for visitors' parking
• Parking for other students: free, entry allowed no earlier than 8:45 a.m

Parking at the “Vřesina” parking lot:

For long-term student parking it is possible to use the Vřesina parking lot.

• Parking lot location: show on map (GPS: 49.8233765, 18.1440597)
• The parking card is free and can be obtained at the reception of dormitories AB and E upon presentation of your student ID
• The parking card must be visibly placed in the vehicle when using the parking lot
• You can easily get from parking lot to the dormitories by shared transport (bicycles, scooters) or by tram
• Return the parking card to the reception after completing your stay, or at the end of the academic year
• Parking cards are issued only until the parking capacity is reached
