There is currently no obligation for students who participate in full-time education to prove their infection-free status to the university.
The operation of universities (with the exception of the obligation for students to prove their infection-free status when provided accommodation in the dormitories – see below) is not restricted by any special measure of the Ministry of Health, and, therefore, the extraordinary measures of the Ministry of Health regulating in general the conditions for wearing respiratory protection, holding events and cases where it is necessary to prove infection-free status should be applied to the activities of VSB – Technical University of Ostrava.
All those who are indoors at VSB-TUO are obliged to wear respiratory protection, i.e. a respirator or similar device (always without an exhalation valve) fulfilling at least all technical conditions and requirements (for the product), including a filtration efficiency of at least 94% according to the relevant standards (e.g. FFP2, KN 95). The fulfilment of this obligation will be checked by employees of the Regional Public Health Authority of the Moravian Silesian Region. Consequences resulting from violation of the regulation will be borne by each person.

These students will be obliged to repeat the testing every 7 days when they are accommodated in the dormitories.
A TESTING PLACE will be set up at the dormitories for students who will have to test regularly.
The government of the Czech Republic has decided to cancel the testing of persons accommodated in university accommodation facilities by an extraordinary measure of the Ministry of Health MZDR 5016/2022-1/MIN/KAN with effect from 18.2.2022.
THE LAST TESTING in the testing point will therefore take place on 14 February 2022.
We inform the accommodated about the opening of the testing point, which is intended for those who must be tested every 7 days, ie the accommodated is not

The testing point is located on the GROUND FLOOR OF THE BUILDING B, IN THE MEETING ROOM, NO. 113 (next to the HOTEL RESTAURANT).
Testing is charged for all accommodated. The amount for performing the antigen test is CZK 200 incl. VAT for one test. The amount must always be paid before the test is carried out at the AB or E reception. Here, the accommodated will receive a proof of payment, which he/she will present to the staff of the testing point. Payment can be made in cash or by credit card.
Every student, that will have to get tested regularly in a mobile laboratory has obligation to register in a Reservatic system (https://reservatic.com). He/she has to fill in the following information (name, surname, date of birth, residence, phone number and e-mail address, as a note add the name of his/her health insurance company, and possibly his/her health insurance number). After this registration, he/she will register regularly, no later than 24 hours before the actual testing, for the designated time and day, with the understanding that he/she will register at the testing place VSB – Technical University of Ostrava, VSB-TUO Dormitories.
In case the accommodated person will be tested at another testing point, the test result must always be presented at our testing point (operation time, see above).
In connection with the epidemiological situation, based on the Ministry of Health extraordinary measure, movement and stay without respiratory protective equipment (nose, mouth), which is a respirator or similar device (always without an exhalation valve) fulfilling at least all technical conditions and requirements (for the product), in all indoor areas of the University (except those listed above and employees who, while performing work at the workplace, perform that work in one location without another person present) and also in motor vehicles for business travel.
In view of the employer’s obligation to equip its employees (except for employees who work remotely and those who do not come into physical contact with other persons during and in connection with the performance of their work) with respiratory protective equipment, it is possible to collect such equipment from the warehouse of the VSB-TUO, and the stock will be continuously replenished.
Meetings of HEI bodies (academic senates, scientific councils and other bodies of faculties and other units of the VSB-TUO) are not restricted, except for the obligation to wear respiratory protection.

Spaces among visitors must be kept in the canteen, especially between employees from other departments. It will be possible to sit at the table for a maximum of 6 persons, any manipulation with chairs and tables is prohibited. The same regime applies to FBI and FAST dispensaries as to the canteen.

From 17 January 2022 till 18 February 2022, VSB-TUO is obliged to ensure regular testing of all its employees for the presence of SARS-CoV-2 antigen twice a week.
Employees who will be attending the workplace and do not meet the conditions for exemption from testing listed below will be tested. The second testing will take place no earlier than the third day after the first testing.
At VSB-TUO, the first test of the week will be carried out on Mondays and Tuesdays (depending on the testing site). Information on the method and schedule of testing of the employees of VSB-TUO is given HERE.
Please note: Before registering for testing (on the Reservatic website), you must search for the service you want, otherwise you will not be able to register.
An employee is not required to be tested at VSB-TUO if
An employee who fails to present any of the exceptions listed above or submit to the testing for which he/she has been requested will be admitted to the workplace but shall promptly notify his/her immediate superior that he/she has refused to submit the preventive testing. The immediate superior shall report this fact to the head of the Security Unit without undue delay.
The movement of such an employee around the workplace and other internal areas of VSB-TUO shall be regulated by his/her immediate superior in such a way that the conditions of the Measure are met, i.e.,

In addition to its obligations, upon request, VSB-TUO will issue a written confirmation of a positive test result for the presence of SARS-CoV-2 antigen on a form, a sample of which is available HERE.
In case of the employee’s need, upon the employee’s request, VSB-TUO will issue a written confirmation of a negative test result for the presence of SARS-CoV-2 virus antigen on a form, the template of which is HERE.
