The Mobility Lab team showcased experimental vehicles equipped with automated driving technologies that it is developing in collaboration with VALEO. Specifically, visitors were able to see a demonstration of a C-ITS application for vehicle-to-infrastructure communication, which helps prevent collisions, as well as remote vehicle control via a public 5G network using the Drive-by-Wire Car Interface. The exhibition also featured a solution for detecting the presence of a child in a vehicle—Child Presence Detection—developed as part of the European HAL4SDV project.
The Smart Factory Lab showcased smart manufacturing and robotics technologies. On display were a humanoid robot and the autonomous mobile robots MiR100 and MiR250 with a UR5e collaborative robot arm, used for research and development of solutions for industrial and logistics automation.
At Smart Mobility Day, we demonstrated how we at FEI integrate research, modern technologies, and their practical applications.
