Psychological Counselling Services for International Students

20. 11. 2025 News
Adjusting to life at university can be an exciting experience, but it may also come with challenges—especially when studying in a new country.
Psychological Counselling Services for International Students

To support the wellbeing of our international students, the ICP Office provides free, confidential psychological consultations directly on the VSB-TUO campus.

What We Offer

International students can book in-person consultations in English with a qualified psychologist. These sessions are designed as short-term professional counselling focused on understanding your current situation and addressing any immediate concerns you may be facing.

After the initial consultation, the psychologist may recommend suitable support options. For some students, one session is enough; others may continue with regular short-term counselling, depending on availability and the nature of their difficulties.

Additional Support

If the psychologist determines that further or specialized care is needed, students can contact the ICP Office for assistance. We can help with:

  • Finding a psychiatrist for possible medication needs
  • Navigating other professional mental health services in the region

Confidentiality

All personal information shared during registration and everything discussed during your sessions remains strictly confidential.

A Reminder of Why This Service Matters

Taking care of your mental health is just as important as taking care of your physical wellbeing. University life can bring academic pressures, cultural adjustment, and personal challenges. Reaching out for help is a positive step, and you do not have to face these challenges alone.
