The Diploma Supplement is issued under Section 57 of Act No. 111/1998 Coll. on Universities.
It is a bilingual document supplementing the university diploma. It summarises information about the study programme completed, including a list of all examinations taken and grades achieved, information about the graduate's work experience and internships and other study activities. The structure of the Diploma Supplement shall follow the uniform outline laid down by the European Commission, the Council of Europe and UNESCO/CEPES organization.
The Diploma Supplement provides a comprehensive, internationally unified overview of the graduate's study profile, which will facilitate the recognition of education in the Czech Republic and abroad. It will also help employers, for example, to understand the graduate's professional profile and qualifications.
The document is issued automatically to all graduates at the same time as their university diploma upon successful completion of their studies.
