Summary
The subject follows the subject Physics I. It is devoted to the
electromagnetic field, electromagnetism, and optics. In the frame of theoretical exercises the models and
approaches are applied to the solution of concrete questions.
Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit
Collect the basic principles and laws of the chosen part of the classical physics.
Describe, clarify and interpret the particular natural phenomena.
Apply the simple mathematical methods for describing of the physical phenomena.
Illustrate obtained knowledge in the frame of the easy applications.
Course Contents
Electrostatic field of point and continuous charges, intensity, potential.
Dipole. Movement of charged particles in an electrostatic field.

Current conduction mechanisms in solids.

Stationary and non-stationary magnetic field. Movement of charged particles in a magnetic field. Hall effect.

Electromagnetic fields in different environments cloth. Maxwell equations. Wave equation.

Propagation of electromagnetic and mechanical waves in homogeneous and inhomogeneous environment. Reflection, refraction, absorption.
