Summary
The aim of the subject is to learn advanced applications of computer aided quality management. Students will become familiar with selected software and their possibilities and learn to solve problems of quality management with using software Minitab. Emphasis is put on the correctness of the solution procedure and the correct interpretation of results.
Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit
Student will be able:
- to categorize the types of software used in the quality management
- identify the possibilities of the use of software Minitab in quality management
- apply the software Minitab for data processing
- apply the software Minitab to solve problems in the field of quality management and interpret the results.
Course Contents
1. The importance of computer aid in the field of quality management. Information systems of quality management.
2. Creating information through data collection and processing. Data management.
3. Specialized software in the field of computer aided quality management.
4. Selected statistical software and their suitability for solving problems in the field of quality management (Minitab, Statgraphics, Statistica , QC- Expert, SPSS , SAS, etc. ).
5. Characteristics of software Minitab and possibilities of its use in quality management.
6. Working with worksheets and projects in Minitab, data import and export.
7. The calculations in Minitab, creating new variables. Selected operators and their use in quality management.
8. Data filtering and sorting.
9. Exploratory data analysis.
10. Hypothesis Testing in Minitab (testing normality, goodness of fit tests , t -test, F -test).
11. Regression and correlation analysis in Minitab.
12. Special tasks in the field of quality management (cause and effect diagram, Pareto analysis, measurement system analysis).
13. Special tasks in the field of quality management (process capability analysis, statistical process control).
14. Other special software for various fields of quality management (Statgraphics, QC Expert, Palstat etc.).
