Summary |
---|
Students will learn the basics of nuclear power and heat generation in nuclear power reactors. Furthermore, they dealt with the concept of nuclear power plants, primary and secondary circuits. The aim is to acquire basic knowledge in the field of nuclear energy facilities and to obtain graduate comprehensive picture of the energy industry. |
Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit |
---|
The course introduces basic laws of conversion of energy from nuclear fission in the thermal, mechanical and electrical energies and fundamental and detailed design of reactors and nuclear power plant equipments where mentioned conversions of energies take place. Furthermore radioactive waste in connection with the Atomic Act. Safety issues of nuclear power plants, the technical means to achieve it and the protection of nearby nuclear power plant. They discussed ways of nuclear power plant using the passive safety systems in generation III and IV. |
