Application Procedure for Student Mobility to VSB-TUO

1. Nomination
   The home university coordinator nominates the student by sending their name and email address to the relevant faculty coordinator at VSB-TUO.
2. Online Application
   a) Application for study/traineeship at the university – completed via the Online Application Form, including the upload of the Learning Agreement.
   b) Application for accommodation – the applicant fills in the Application and  Accommodation Form for Visa Processing and pays the accommodation deposit.
3. Issuing of Official Documents
   The applicant’s university will receive the following documents:
   • Confirmation of Scholarship Granted
   • Accommodation Agreement (for visa processing)
   • Confirmation of Enrollment
4. Visa Facilitation
   The applicant will be registered at the Embassy to support a faster visa procedure while preparing the necessary documentation for the visa interview.
5. Grant Agreement
   The Grant Agreement is completed and signed either electronically (e-signature) or upon arrival in Ostrava.
6. Insurance Requirement
   Proof of valid comprehensive health insurance must be submitted, with coverage of at least EUR 400,000 per event, valid for the entire duration of the stay.
7. Payment of Financial Grant
   The financial grant is transferred to the applicant's account.

The student will be nominated for mobility after successfully passing the selection process. 

The Grant Agreement will be signed at least 2 weeks before departure. The scholarship will be sent to a Czech bank account then.

Selection procedure

• All applicants have to pass a selection procedure successfully. The selection procedure are being held twice a year, usually at the beginning of each semester. They are announced at faculty website, Innet and sent to all students by e-mail. The selection procedure will be open only for students from the respective faculty which has an ongoing project. The faculty is responsible for the selection. 
• During the selection procedure are all students interviewed primarily in English language. Knowledge of English and study results are evaluated.

2. Authorized approval declaring English language skills - min requirements: IELTS score 5,0, TOEFL internet-based score 62 (possibly other certificates at the same level).
3. Copy of the regular passport within a period of validity.

Before arrival

Before mobility a student has to make sure that he/she has all the following documents:

• valid passport
• Learning Agreement confirmed by both institutions
• valid health and accident insurance
• sufficient financial means

Admission requirements and application procedure for employees for teaching/training

Nominated participants for teaching/training prepare in cooperation with a faculty coordinator from VSB-TUO the Mobility Agreement for Teaching/Training. The scanned Mobility Agreement, the Grant Agreement (unsigned) and a copy of the passport will be sent to the faculty coordinator at VSB-TUO. 

The Grant Agreement will be signed after arrival. The grant will be provided in cash (EUR) at the Cash Office. 

Selection procedure

The selection procedure is entirely at the discretion of the sending institution.

Before mobility a participant has to make sure that he/she has all the following documents:

• Mobility Agreement confirmed by both institutions
• valid health and accident insurance

The participant for teaching/training will be nominated after being selected.  

Selection procedure

At least two months before mobility, the faculty will inform its employees about the selection procedure. The respective faculty is responsible for the selection.
